Flipkart is bringing back its flagship festive shopping event, The Big Billion Days 2026, for its 13th edition on October 9. The company says this year’s event will feature record seller participation, more than 150 million products, AI-powered shopping tools, and a larger delivery network across India.
Early access will begin on October 8 for eligible Flipkart Plus, BLACK, and Flipkart credit card members. General access will start on October 9.
The 2026 edition comes as India’s festive shopping season continues to move toward online platforms. Flipkart says its marketplace now has more than 500 million registered customers and 1.4 million sellers, giving this year’s sale a large base of shoppers and businesses.
Big Billion Days 2026 Starts October 9
The Big Billion Days has become one of Flipkart’s biggest annual shopping events. For its 13th edition, the company is preparing a wide selection across electronics, smartphones, fashion, beauty, appliances, home products and festive gifting.
Flipkart says the event will feature 150 million products from brands and sellers across categories. The company also plans its widest-ever new-launch lineup across mobiles, large appliances, beauty and personal care.
More than 1,200 fashion trends are expected to be offered at their lowest prices of the year, according to Flipkart.
The sale will also include bank offers, exchange benefits, EMI options and other promotions. Customers should check individual product pages for the exact terms because offers can vary by product, seller, payment method, and availability.
Record Seller Participation Expected
One of the biggest highlights of Big Billion Days 2026 is the number of sellers taking part.
Flipkart says the event will have its highest-ever number of participating sellers, with more than 60% more transacting sellers than last year. The company also says customer selection has doubled compared with the previous year.
The growth is particularly significant for small businesses, artisans, weavers and MSMEs that depend on festive demand.
More than 2.5 crore units from MSMEs, small sellers, artisans and weavers have already been positioned at Ekart fulfilment centres. This preparation is designed to help sellers fulfil orders faster during the high-demand shopping period.
Zero Commission Helps Bring New Fashion Sellers
Flipkart has also introduced 0% commission across all price points for fashion.
The company says this move helped bring more sellers onto the platform before the festive sale. Around 75% of the new fashion sellers joining ahead of this year’s Big Billion Days came after the zero-commission initiative was introduced.
For sellers, lower selling costs can make it easier to list products and compete during a period when online shopping demand usually increases.
For customers, the larger seller base can mean more choices across fashion and other categories.
Flipkart Minutes Expands Big Billion Days
Quick-commerce service Flipkart Minutes will also play a larger role during this year’s sale.
Flipkart says Minutes has grown four times year over year and now operates in more than 150 cities and over 9,000 PIN codes. It has nearly 1,200 micro-fulfilment centres supporting its operations.
During Big Billion Days, Flipkart Minutes will offer more than 77,000 products across 1,400 categories.
The selection will include everyday essentials, fresh produce, electronics, fashion and last-minute festive shopping.
The expansion beyond major metros is also notable. Flipkart identified cities such as Patna, Jaipur, Guwahati, Siliguri and Salem as important growth centres for quick commerce.
Larger Supply Chain for Faster Delivery
Handling a major festive sale requires a large logistics network. Flipkart has expanded its Ekart infrastructure ahead of Big Billion Days 2026.
The company has added 14 million cubic feet of warehousing space, increasing storage capacity by 50%. Automation has also increased peak processing capacity by more than 30%, according to Flipkart.
Flipkart has added more than 900 delivery hubs and over 750 new PIN codes to its network.
The expansion includes locations such as Leh and Kargil, along with communities across the Northeast. These areas will get access to the Big Billion Days shopping experience through the expanded delivery network.
Across Ekart and Flipkart Minutes, Flipkart says its network now covers more than 8,200 fulfilment and delivery facilities nationwide.
More Products Ready Before the Sale
Flipkart is also pre-positioning products closer to customers to reduce delivery time.
More than 2.5 crore units from MSMEs, small sellers, artisans and weavers have been placed at Ekart fulfilment centres ahead of the event. Flipkart says this will help sellers handle festive orders more efficiently.
The company has also opened 70 additional pick-up stations in important seller hubs.
This approach can reduce the time between receiving an order and handing it over to the logistics network. It also helps sellers prepare for sudden increases in demand during the first hours and days of the sale.
AI Becomes a Major Part of Big Billion Days 2026
Artificial intelligence will have a larger role in this year’s shopping experience.
Flipkart says its Big Billion Days platform will allow customers to discover products using text, voice and images.
An AI shopping assistant will help customers move from a general shopping need toward suitable products. The company will also use personalised AI-powered feeds to show customers products and offers based on their shopping experience.
For sellers and creators, Flipkart is introducing an AI-powered Creator Studio. The tool can help turn product catalogues into richer content at scale.
AI will also be used behind the scenes. Flipkart says its Delivery Intelligence system uses AI-powered geocoding and last-mile orchestration to improve delivery speed and accuracy.
Big Billion Days Creates Seasonal Jobs
The festive sale is also creating additional employment opportunities.
Flipkart says more than 2.5 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities have been created for the festive season. Nearly 75,000 of these opportunities are for people entering the formal workforce for the first time.
Women now account for more than 20% of Flipkart’s supply chain workforce, according to the company.
The seasonal workforce supports areas such as warehousing, sorting, transportation, delivery, and other logistics operations.
Early Access Starts October 8
Customers who want to shop before the general public will get early access.
According to Flipkart, early access for Plus, BLACK and eligible Flipkart credit card members begins on October 8. General access starts on October 9.
This early window can be important for products that may sell quickly, particularly popular smartphones, electronics, and limited-stock launches.
Customers should also compare the final price after applying bank offers, exchange discounts, and other eligible benefits instead of looking only at the headline discount.
What Can Shoppers Expect From Big Billion Days?
Big Billion Days 2026 will cover a wide range of categories.
Shoppers can expect deals and new launches across:
- Smartphones and tablets
- Laptops and computers
- TVs and home appliances
- Smartwatches and audio products

What Does Big Billion Days Mean for Sellers?
The event is not only about customer discounts. It has become an important sales period for thousands of businesses.
The record seller participation announced for 2026 means more small businesses and brands will have access to Flipkart’s customer base.
For MSMEs, artisans and weavers, festive shopping can provide an opportunity to reach customers outside their local markets. Flipkart says more than 2.5 crore units from these seller groups have already been positioned for faster fulfilment.
The platform’s expanded logistics network can also help sellers reach more PIN codes.
For fashion sellers, the new zero-commission model may provide another incentive to participate during the festive season.
Big Billion Days 2026 Expands Beyond the Shopping App
The 13th edition shows how India’s festive e-commerce market is changing.
Flipkart is combining a large product selection with quick commerce, AI-based discovery, expanded logistics and a growing seller network.
The company’s reach now extends beyond major cities, with new delivery locations and a larger presence in Tier 2 and smaller markets. Flipkart Minutes is also moving beyond traditional metro-focused quick commerce by expanding into more cities.
For sellers, the event offers access to a large customer base. For shoppers, it brings more products, sellers and delivery options into one festive shopping period.
